The goverment will pay me 500 EUR and why do I have a 3 month long summer holiday

Today I officially finished school for this school year and there are three months long summer holidays in front of me. But, doesn't the school year endon June 24th? Yes,yes, yes, but we have to go back to October last year.

Background  

I am attending secondary vocational school and in the second year we have an internship that we generally do at the end of the year before the holidays. However, at school we have the opportunity to do an internship abroad and when I learned this, I immediately applied. I was admitted, and so last year I spent three weeks in Portugal doing my internship at the end of October.  

Another good thing about working in Portugal is that my practice is recognised and I do not need to do it at the end of the year.   

In addition, I have all the exams more than positive and therefore do not have any correctional exams and other obligations.  

With the next week, as most of my classmates will work, I'll enjoy doing even more of what interests me at home. It will be a really nice summer holiday. 

Why will the goverment pay me EUR 500 next year  

I myself already receive a government scholarship, but there are bonuses for success, and since I will have an average of marks above 4.50 this year, I will receive an addition of EUR 37.04 per month, which amounts to EUR 448.48 per year, or almost EUR 500.  

In summary, the "goverment" pays for my educatiuon, but at the same time it rewards me extra for listening to classes for which it has already paid anyway.

Throughout the year, and especially towards the end of the school year, I have published here and there for a week, so I have to make up for that. Already this weekend, in addition to this blog, I will publish at least another one. And also for updating my post calendar in advance. Since I have a lot of time now, I will do my best to post twice a week.
